Northern Queensland Household Insurance specialist, Sure Insurance, today announced their commitment to supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) North Australia through the ‘Adopt-a-Room’ corporate sponsorship initiative. Driven by a shared mission, Sure Insurance will sponsor two bedrooms at the Ronald McDonald House, located in Douglas, opposite the Townsville University Hospital.
Ronald McDonald House provides crucial support to families facing the challenge of caring for an ill or injured child. In 2023, RMHC North Australia provided direct support to 476 families by offering hospital-adjacent accommodation. During this time, 7,798 nights of accommodation were provided to families in need, highlighting the significant impact the organisation has on servicing the regional community within the North Australia chapter.
Ronald McDonald House provides 25 rooms to North Australian families in need, including 4 self-contained units, providing vital accommodation for families when they need it most. Through the ‘Adopt-a-Room’ sponsorship, individuals and organisations can make a tangible impact on the lives of these families by sponsoring a room. Understanding the mission to strive to keep families together when life gets turned upside down due to a child’s injury or illness, Sure Insurance are honoured to contribute with their sponsorship aiding the Charity in providing a safe, supportive, and comfortable living environment.
